A Century of HIT, A Century of Physical Education

Confronted with the requirements of the top priorities of the nation for school physical education in the new era, the new centenary and the new journey, Harbin Institute of Technology is actively promoting the high-quality development of school physical education, bearing in mind the mission of nurturing talents for the Party and the country, adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and giving full play to the leading role of the champion spirit. Under the leadership of the Party Committee of the Department of Physical Education, the Champion Studio, with Chen Jin, badminton world champion, as its core, was established in November 2022.

Purposes of the Studio

  1. To educate students with the Chinese sports spirit and champion spirit, actively advance the in-depth integration of sports and education, give play to the exemplary and leading role of world champions, spread the positive energy of champions, and open up high-quality paths for talent cultivation.

  2. To give play to the unique champion culture education model, integrate distinctive sports elements such as comprehending the champion mindset and refining physical and mental literacy into the whole process of fostering virtue and educating people, and guide students to take winning honor for the country as their own responsibility and making contributions to the country as their glory.

  3. To continuously cultivate the courage and ability to aim high and rise to challenges, and strive to nurture outstanding and innovative talents with profound patriotism and lofty ideals and beliefs.
